About Event

Today, people and businesses connect, exchange information and execute transactions in ways never before imagined. The combination of digital platforms, user-generated content and feedback, social media integration, global positioning services, and the use of big data and artificial intelligence, has transformed the way people experience, consume and share information.

Nepal Tourism Board has marked the World Tourism Day by bringing ICT awareness and digital capacity building in 20 emerging cities of Nepal for tourism. For this campaign, Nepal Tourism Board has prepared for one-day workshops in 20 different cities all around Nepal. In every city, there would be 25-30 participants from tourism background, like a travel agency, hotels, online travel agency, travel activities. This program will be a good opportunity for them to learn about digital technologies which will help them to boost their business. While the Tourism sector has been at the forefront of digital disruption, exponential technological change means that the sector must innovate, and all stakeholders must collaborate, on a near-constant basis in order to remain competitive.
